Despite the threat of Gorkhaland issue starting at any time soon, the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) and the ISC (Indian School Certificate) Exams commenced without any problem. The ICSE exam started on Monday 26th February and ISC on Thursday 1st of March 2001. The entire month or so of exams went smoothly. By the end of March both the board exams were completed. The final results are expected in the month of June.
The students who have completed the ICSE are supposed to rejoin the school for the new session of class eleven on the 15th of April but due to the on going strike in Kalimpong, the date has been extended until such time it is safe to return.

Junior school elocution competition 2001 was held on the 20th of April. There was group recitation as well as the individual from class 1 to class 6.
The Junior School library is scheduled to be opened in the month of May. This would greatly benefit the children.
